I will just say it straight out. I have the best job in the world and I love what I do. There is a very special reason one becomes a nature guide, and that is an unwavering passion for understanding, experiencing and conserving the natural world, and sharing it with travellers from around the globe.
After an adventurous 15 year career as a professional guide, I have had the privilege to explore and understand some of Africa’s most pristine wilderness areas, but most importantly, my work has allowed me to affirm my belief in conserving our natural heritage through eco-tourism by sharing, teaching and creating incredible wilderness and travel experiences, as well as inspiring a genuine love and understanding of our natural world.
Every person and every journey is different, so allow me the opportunity to mould your tailor made safari into an experience that best suits you and your interests. Let me take you out on a journey of discovery and introduce you to this spectacular continent.
After completing my education, my first few adult years were spent working, living and travelling throughout Southern Africa, the Middle East and extensively across Europe. This gave me a vital understanding of the greater world and a keen interest in people and cultures across the globe.
“Marco, you were and are and exceptional guide! Your valuable insight, knowledge and patience for our many questions were very much appreciated. We look forward to a future African tour with you.” – Kent & Gwen Kleeberger, USA
To ensure excellence in all aspects of a safari experience, from maintaining guiding ethics to ensuring smooth logistics and professional support, I have associated myself with the following organizations, either through direct Guiding Services, promoting travel in Africa and maintaining professional guiding practices.
